Locally raised and educated at Whangarei Boys High School, Jarrod returned to Whangarei with his family in 2011 after eight years working for Macquarie Bank in Sydney and Hong Kong. Whilst abroad, he gained licenses to trade equities (shares) and futures in Australia and Hong Kong. In these markets, he specialized in trading warrants, a retail equity derivative used for clients to gain directional, leveraged exposure to listed shares and indices. Jarrod has a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Finance and Quantitative Analysis from the University of Otago and the National Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5).

Jarrod became a Partner and the Managing Director in 2020.

Since joining Yovich & Co, he has developed our personalised portfolio management service and refined our advice process, especially around more complex structures, such as Family Trusts. He has a strong focus on promoting long-term intergenerational wealth, ensuring that families are taken care of well into the future. He has many current clients who are the grandchildren of founding clients that started with Wally Yovich in 1968.
